Here's what others are saying:

  • I received mine and they are lovely keepsakes.  My adult kids will love them.  Thanks!  Maggie
  • I received the calendar. I have not opened it as it's a gift for my mom for Christmas. I'm sure it will exceed expectations!  Thank you. Amy.
  • Indeed I did receive the calendars I ordered. They will be given as Christmas gifts to friends and family. When I retired I got to invite a few friends and family to HQ for my award ceremony so they got to see the art work that was there in 2007. As well as tour the museum. A museum calendar would be fun by the way. Hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago. Thanks erik and best regards, tom
  • Received and looks great, thanks. Merry Christmas Carolyn
  • Got it and like it - thanks for doing such an interesting and worthwhile work! Alex
  • I gave away a number of my calendars this weekend. One to X who just retired on Friday after 27 years with the Company and last as assistant director for XX, and one to Z who runs the Farm. Everyone loves it. MD
  • Erik, Received my calendar. Very impressive! Regards Jim
  • They look terrific!  Just got them today! Denny

  • I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the art book/calendar, it’s even more beautiful than I expected. Thank you again and I am so glad that I was able to help you! Beth
  • Thanks, Erik, for putting this publication together and making it available. Appreciate your efforts. George
  • Erik  -  The calendars arrived today!  I haven't had a chance to look at them, but will comment on them to you when the Turkey Day chaos settles down!  In my rush to get out of the house to a Dr.'s appointment, I forgot to pick up the envelope with my check in it.  I promise, it will go in the mail tomorrow. Thanks -- Jan I bought the calendars as Christmas presents but I am sure they will be appreciated! Thank you for all your hard work on this project. Erik,
  • My wife Bonnie surprised me (truly!) with your calendar of the Secret Ops of the CIA.  It arrived safely Saturday afternoon and it is indeed a wonderful gift to me from both you and my wife.  I will look at the material and reflect on times past with wonderful patriots. As a retiree of more than 25 years I do indeed relate to several of those depicted and/or know of many others who were involved.  I’ve sent the information to a fairly large group of fellow retirees and expect you may receive additional orders. Finally, but most importantly, I am truly sorry for your personal loss of a family member, but eternally. Thankful and grateful for the many sacrifices made by our mostly unsung/unknown heroes. Ed
  • Hi Erik, Yes I did!  Very happy with calendars and artwork.  Thank you! Mark
  • Got it!! Very impressive.  Thank you
  • Hi Again,  Just to let you know that the calendar arrived in this afternoon's mail. It's beautiful - great job! George C
  • Erik, Calendar arrived today; it looks great! Also, the packaging kept it safe. Art
  • Yes, on Friday, and I sent you a note, but obviously you didn't get it so I'll say again, thanks SO much, not just for sending us two (1 to save and the other to hang in the front office so we can point to it whenever anyone visits), but because of your dedication and commitment to the CIA Art Collection to commemorate the work of all those whose IDs are unknown, but this specific project, a work of love and loyalty.  Thank you for allowing me in on some of the development and the special ceremonies I've been privileged to attend.  Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, productive and very Happy New Year.  As ever, Ann
  • Perfect!  Hope they get here by Christmas, they are truly spectacular!! All the very best, D
  • Good work Erik!!!  Just got a look at the calendar for the first time today (been super busy) and the calendar is beautiful.  I've already handed out several of them in Silicon Valley, amongst some very senior guys... they all love it. Cheers Alan
  • Hi Erik, Got my calendars yesterday and think they are great. Thanks for sending them as a gift as it saved me time getting them and the customs charges. PS: I found my father's OSS records, I had ordered them but were hidden in the stack. I didn't find anything worthwhile. Ralph
  • Hi Erik. There is no problem with reproducing the Lima painting – I am just delighted that it is being used. Very, very pleased with the final calendar. A quality product. Shirley is also delighted to see herself included in the group photos. Best wishes Keith
  • Thanks so much for the calendars – they’re a seriously quality item. I can tell you spent plenty of time and care putting them together. Hope you have a great Christmas. Our nipper Jack is all primed for the full-on Santa experience. Thanks again. All best, Stuart
  • Dear Erick,  how nice it was to receive that new calendar with all those perfect pictures with a few secrets of the C.I.A.  I appreciate of course the description of the ones I know.  For me, SAMUEL smoking his pipe is one of the best with Virginia and part of her great life.  In fact, the painting is in my Library and I look at it every days.  And remember the barn we visited the both of us. Encore merci et joyeuses fetes de fin d'année et meilleurs vœux. Bien amicalement  Jean. Please excuse my English, I will be 85 soon
  • Erik, I purchased 3 of your absolutely unique, incredible calendars. I liked your editor's note, concise, instructive. Well done sir. Have a most Merry Christmas sir. And, best wishes for continued success in 2017. J. Meyer
  • Your gift (calendar) was amazing, I loved it!!! I Received it today. Best thing ever to know u still think of me all these years later. I can't wait to kiss your face! XO Agent Honey Pot
  • Happy almost Christmas my friend! Jean says, Again thank you so much. Happy holidays and best wishes in the new year." Then he signs it warmly, Jean. Are you staying warm? It's been chilly here in the Phoenix mountains to be sure! Hope your Christmas is warm and bright. And again the calendars are fabulous. Judy
  • Calendar great. Now need to order two more! Regards, tom
  • Good morning Eric. I am Susan, L R's mom. We viewed the art work at Langley on Friday and we were quite moved by the art and the narratives. We were so honored to receive the copies of the calendar that are being shared with all our family. Life weaves tapestries that we sometimes never understand. Our lives are intertwined in ways we could never have imagined. Thank you for reaching out to my dad. You can never know how much it has meant to be able to share a part of his life with you and hopefully helped to complete circles for both of you and offered some measure of peace. For us, it has meant that we have heard stories we never knew and gave us a special insight into parts of my dad's life.  It has seemed to allowed us all into parts of his life we never had access to, and therefore brought us closer to understanding things we never understood. Your connection to Lacy has been a true blessing. I wish you a peace that passes understanding. I have begun to see that in my dad. With love and gratitude. Susan
  • It sure is awesome, Erik, and a real service to our country and, in particular, the agency, as well as an honor to your uncle.  I'm sure your mother, as well as your uncle, are smiling at this evolving success.  Best to you and all for a great, healthy and prosperous New Year.  Ann
  • Hi Erik, Just received my calendars today, thank you so much for such a terrific job on them. Truly fantastic quality and I'm very proud to of been able to contribute one of the artworks in amongst so many artists that I have a great admiration for.  You should be very proud of not only the calendars but your tireless work to bring these artworks to life through the museum. I hope you have an enjoyable New Year tonight, or as we refer to it here in  Scotland, Hogmany! Best Regards, Gareth I will always remember the cold November morning when I walked into the office and a major said "Mack, they are over ten hours overdue".   I felt a thump in my chest having flown with Bob and Norm and wondered if they were still alive.  You can hear about aircraft crashes feeling bad for the victims and you forget about them the next day or so, however, when you have trained and flown with the crew it makes a difference.  I don't think a week has passed in my life since then that I haven't  thought of Bob and Norm.  I never knew what had happened to them until we made contact.  Thanks to you telling me what had happened  has given me some closure. Wishing you and yours a HAPPY NEW YEAR. As ever, Jim.
  • Hello Erik, I'm in Chambon and want to thank you for the calendar I can now  touch on paper. Beautiful. Great job. My father wrote you a mail a week ago. Hope you received it. All the best, Chantal
  • Will you mail to Vancouver, BC, Canada? If there is an extra charge, that's ok. I think the calendar is great and would like to support your effort Thanks Dean
  • Erik, great publicity, and I see the story has bounced a bit.  Great work. I still don't understand the EAA store.  The excuse given is BS. X

  • I think your mother would be proud of you. Dean
  • Hey Erik - appreciate you providing me with that information. It all makes sense to me! Based on your response, I went ahead and purchased three 2017 calendars because it sounds like the 2017 and 2018 versions of the calendar might be different in terms of the paintings you choose to include. Thanks again for the info and I look forward to seeing some of your future work! Mark
  • Erik, I really appreciate your kindness.  From what I read in the WP article, it's kind of ironic that your uncle was killed in China and the calendar I am buying as gift, is for someone to take it to China.  You are a good man doing this work. As I remembered that I have not received any email regarding the shipment so I assume it hasn't been sent yet. Blair SC is not that far from DC area so I think few days will be sufficient but if you think the order may not have been processed yet, then please use priority mail.   Is it possible that you can try priority mail 2-day and I will pay for the extra cost involved?  Thanks again for you help and I look forward to see your work. Rich
  • I am at the airport in San Diego, boarding shortly for my flight back to DC.  I would be glad to talk with you by phone, but arrive at Reagan National at 6:16 PM if on time.  I would hope that you could reach me at home, 703-XXX-XXXX, by 7:30 PM at the latest.  Sorry it can't be sooner.  Erik's contributions to our nation, the Agency and to the affected families are significant, and he more than deserves the plaudits and recognition he has received and should receive.  His determination, persistence and dedication to this worthwhile story-telling, factual history are unprecedented and a deserved honor to his uncle and others who sacrificed so much for our country!  Sincerely, Ann
  • Thank you! I appreciate your timeliness, as soon as you can get the calendar sent...looks like I am 590. Cheers, and again, bravo.
  • That would be WONDERFUL, and how generous and thoughtful of him, but then you do generate the best in others, with few exceptions.  Lacy was over today and she told me about her grandfather's note to you and how much what you have done has meant to him.  She was struck by his willingness to share his feelings, something apparently rather foreign to her Papa.  He absolutely loves his calendar and she said for the first couple of weeks, he would take it out and study it nightly, just soaking it in.  I'm pretty sure others felt the same about the significance of what you managed, against all odds, to accomplish!  Have a great week and let's hope for a positive, unifying inauguration this Friday.  As ever, Ann
  • Hi, Erik - - Thank you so much for letting me know about the calendar.  First of all, I’m delighted for your success !  I’m one of those who read the article in The Washington Post Express and decided I had to have a couple of copies because I had a feeling that a lot of other people would think exactly the very same thing at pretty much exactly the same time.  While it may be a bit of a production pain for you, overall, I hope it actually turns out to be a “good” problem for you. In any event, I’m happy to wait for my calendars.  I’m giving a couple to my boyfriend as an anniversary gift in February.  He’s a Vietnam veteran and former Army Ranger - - I thought he’d enjoy the calendar. Thanks, again, Erik ! Jane
  • Erik,  Thanks so much for the update – I was beginning to wonder why I had not received the calendar I ordered.  I am sure it is well worth waiting for and I am looking forward to finding it in the mail! All the best,  Linda
  • You did a super job with the calendar. Again, keep us apprised of progress on the 2018 edition. We'll need to publish news of it in the September issue for you to hit the Christmas rush. Happy to do that. Thanks, Dave
  • Hello Erik,  I cannot tell you how impressed I am with your personal response to my inquiry.  You, sir, have completely restored my faith in mankind!  Thank you so much for taking the time to update me on my order, and for your matter-of-fact, no B.S. manner in which you did.  I certainly wish that more people had your no-nonsense, "the buck stops with me" attitude.
  • I completely understand the logistical issues you are facing in trying to mail out such a huge number of calendars following the positive press you received.  I had no idea that the Washington Post ran a story on your calendar.  In fact, it was my father-in-law, Bill Hennessy, that mentioned your calendar to me while we were visiting him and his family in their home in Northern Virginia during the holidays.  Bill is a very well-known courtroom artist in the DC court system; you most likely have seen his work over the past 30+ years, sketching and drawing hundreds (perhaps thousands) of high profile cases during his long and successful career.  If you ever have a chance, check out his book "All Rise:  Court, Crime and Courtroom Art", which chronicles in beautiful detail some of the more interesting cases over the years. Please do not refund my credit card because of the delay.  I still would like Bill to receive his calendar whenever you are caught up.  In fact, I am going to order an additional calendar for myself and my wife (Bill's daughter) as soon as I wrap up this rather long, rambling and intrusive e-mail. Thank you for producing this calendar.  I understand that your uncle was killed in the line of duty while on a CIA mission, and therefore this work that you are doing is such a great tribute to him.  Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Brett

  • Interesting!  You NEVER know how some people will react to our "thoughts and moments of kindness"! When, I hope in the not too distant future, I go to San Francisco, I'll look for the wine.  It holds such a story that is unknown to those who purchase it.  They have no idea who tended the vineyards, picked the grapes, and oversaw the bottling  of the drink they open and swallow. What history they embrace in their mouths and in the toasts they make with friends.  That presents intriguing ideas of how much else is all around us that we scratch the surface of in our daily lives.   I, personally, would like to think I would have toasted you with very fine champagne! I like the story of the Miraculous Medallion - is it fate, luck, karma?  Who knows but a story like that holds magical implications in its hands.   S
  • Greetings: I think, and hope, most of your customers will be patient while you work to fill the orders.  Surely most, like the ones in the feedback samples, and I, have ordered the calendars for their keepsake value more than for putting up as our one and only calendar!  As a technician I have learned most customers will wait for an honest vendor to be able to get the job done, as long as the effort is sincere.  By the way, reading the feedback it appears most of the folks there are either former Agency members or family members of deceased former members.  That they speak so highly of the product makes it seem well worth the wait.  Thanks for the update, and Carry on! Fred
  • Erik, Thank you for sending this out to keep us informed.  I was idly wondering how long it would be, and wondering whether you'd gotten an over-abundance of publicity.  I appreciate hearing about the progress you're making in handling such an influx of orders. No worries on time, it sounds like they're pretty close, I'm excited to get mine (only one is for me; the other two are for my dad, who is a retired Agency officer, and my father-in-law who used to work with Army Intelligence). Thanks again for the update! Michael
  • Not a problem for me and glad you have this type of problem. I'll await them patiently. Thanks, Wayne
  • Hi Erik, thanks for the advice and not a problem, I figured they would be popular and tried to get my order in near the head of the line, Whenever they get processed is not a problem, Thanks again, take care and have a great day, Jim
  • Saw photos on line and will be glad to wait. I have lots of calendars just want this as keepsake. Thanks John
  • Erik, Thanks for the heads up! I have a framed print of the shootdown at LS 85 Laos and when I saw that was included I knew I wanted some for gifts. Joe , Col., USAF (ret.)
  • Rock on Erik!  Glad you are having great success with your calendar.   Thanks for the update.  I had ordered two calendars originally, and had thought about ordering a couple more.  I wait for things to slow down an bit and let you guys catch your breath before I order. thanks again
  • Hi Erik,  Thank you, I appreciate the notification.  The delay is not a problem  I'm very excited about this calendar; they are both going to be birthday gifts.  Julie
  • Hi Erik:  Thank you for your very prompt response. I am happy to wait for the calendars, knowing that indeed there is a human at the other end and that it's just a matter of 'getting slammed." I'm happy for your 'success,' even if it means a lot more work for you.
  • Thank you also for the insight on the Wall of Honor photo. I'll check out what the internet has to offer. Thanks again and best wishes on your success! Cheers!  Kate
  • Hi Erik, Appreciate your note. As a small business owner and vet I feel your pain. Okay, I don't fully feel it since I have never experienced such a large increase in revenue over a short period of time. Do cheer you on, though. When it arrives I will let you....and if it does not arrive, I will let you know as well. Hang in there. Essayons, Herb
